Heartsaver CPR and AED Skills Test (Instructor-Led, Blended Course)
In-Person Hands-On Skills Test
The Heartsaver CPR and AED Skills Test is a critical component for those seeking certification in CPR and AED techniques. This in-person, instructor-led session allows students to apply their online course knowledge in a hands-on environment. During the skills practice session, students will have the opportunity for one-on-one time with an American Heart Association (AHA) instructor to ask questions, receive feedback, and build confidence in performing lifesaving skills.
Course Overview:
The Heartsaver CPR and AED Course consists of two essential components:

Online Course – Complete the cognitive portion online at your convenience, and receive a certificate of completion.

Hands-On Skills Test – After completing the online portion, students attend the instructor-led, in-person skills session to practice and demonstrate their CPR and AED abilities.
Certification Process:
Upon successful completion of both the online course and the hands-on skills test, students will receive a Heartsaver CPR and AED Provider Course Completion Card issued by the AHA.

Part 1: Complete The Online Course
Step 1: Complete HeartCode BLS Blended Course Online
To begin the BLS certification process, students must first complete the online, cognitive portion of the course, which can be done from any location with internet access. This online portion is provided by the American Heart Association (AHA).

After completing the online portion, you will receive a certificate of completion from AHA, which is required to proceed to Part 2.

Part 2: Complete The Hands-On Skills Test
Step 2: Sign Up for Your Skills Test
After completing Part 1, the next step is to attend a hands-on skills test at our training site. This session will be led by an AHA-certified instructor who will guide you through practicing key skills and validating your competency.
