In-Person Hands-On Skills Test
The Heartsaver Pediatrics First Aid, CPR, and AED Skills Test is a vital in-person component for those seeking certification in pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED. This hands-on, instructor-led session gives students the chance to apply their online course knowledge and gain practical experience under the supervision of an American Heart Association (AHA) instructor. Students will have one-on-one time to ask questions, receive personalized feedback, and build confidence in performing pediatric lifesaving skills.
Course Overview:
The Heartsaver Pediatrics First Aid, CPR, and AED Course consists of two essential components:

Online Course – Complete the online portion at your convenience, followed by a certificate of completion.

Hands-On Skills Test – After completing the online course, attend the in-person skills test session, where you will demonstrate your pediatric First Aid, CPR, and AED skills under the guidance of an AHA instructor.
Certification Process:
Upon successful completion of both the online course and the hands-on skills test, students will receive a Heartsaver Pediatrics First Aid, CPR, and AED Provider Course Completion Card issued by the AHA.

Part 1: Complete The Online Course
Step 1: Complete HeartCode Pediatrics First Aid, CPR and AED Blended Course Online
To begin the First Aid, CPR and AED certification process, students must first complete the online, cognitive portion of the course, which can be done from any location with internet access. This online portion is provided by the American Heart Association (AHA).
