Valid 2 years. Card is issued on the day of the class. American Heart Association
Students who successfully complete the online portion of the course receive a certificate granting them access to a ACLS, PALS and BLS Hands-on Session with an AHA Advanced Life Support Instructor. Students must successfully complete both the online portion and the hands-on session to receive a ACLS, PALS and BLS Provider course completion card.
Who can participate?
The PALS Course is intended for healthcare providers who respond to emergencies in infants and children, including personnel in emergency response, emergency medicine, intensive care, and critical care units, such as physicians, nurses, paramedics, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and others who need a ACLS, PALS and BLS course completion card for their job or other requirements.
Continuing Education Accreditation (CEU) for this Class?
ACLS: This continuing education activity is accredited by the CAPCE (Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education), for 4.50 Advanced CEHs. **CAPCE credit must be claimed within 6 months of attendance. CME/CE credit will no longer be available to claim for this activity after six months of attending. Please claim your CEU once you complete your class online with AHA.
BLS: This continuing education activity is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), for 1.75 Basic CEHs, **CAPCE credit must be claimed within 6 months of attendance. CME/CE credit will no longer be available to claim for this activity after the 6-month claiming period. v
PALS: This continuing education activity is accredited by the Commission on Accreditation for Pre-Hospital Continuing Education (CAPCE), for 5.75 Advanced CEHs, AMA Credit Designation Statement – Physicians 7.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit. AAPA Credit Acceptance Statement – Physician Assistants 7.25 hour of Category 1 credit. AANP Credit Acceptance Statement – Nurse Practitioners 1 Credit. ANCC Credit Designation Statement – Nurses 6.50 contact hours. ACPE Credit Designation Statement – Pharmacists 8.00 Contact Hours **CAPCE credit must be claimed within 6 months of participation.
